Rachel Neubeck is a filmmaker and multimedia journalist living in Los Angeles, California.
Rachel recently completed her MA in Specialized Journalism (The Arts) from USC. While there, she split her time between the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and the School of Cinematic Arts. She took classes ranging from documentary production and screenplay analysis, to arts reporting and criticism. From the moment Rachel got a camera in her hands, it was clear that her future would be telling stories with film and multimedia.
She has since completed a slew of different film and multimedia creations- ranging from short documentaries and journalism profiles to food truck event videos and a Food and Wine iPhone app.
Rachel’s focus is on arts, culture, food and human interest stories. She is currently juggling several projects, including: pre-production on a food truck show with Roaming Hunger (where she also works under the title of ‘Media Meatball’), a short production on architecture’s role in the future of schools and education, and a long format documentary on the Venice, California artist Mark Hobley.
Rachel holds a BA in fine arts from NYU, is an alumnus of French Culinary Institute’s first class in Italian cuisine, and will receive her MA in Fall of 2011.
