Kacie Anning is a Sydney-based writer / director who grew up in Mackay, North Queensland. In 2007 she moved to Brisbane to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Television at the Queensland University of Technology. After university, she worked as the Production Coordinator for Network Ten’s long-running children’s show Totally Wild where she spent a lot of time thinking about the wonders of termite mounds in between scheduling upwards of 12-16 shoots a week.
In 2011, Kacie moved to Sydney after being accepted as one of eight directors to the Australian Film Television Radio School (AFTRS) Directing course. At the year’s end, she was awarded the Foxtel Scholarship for Exceptional New Talent.
