Michael was born at Glendale Adventist Hospital, and raised in Tucson. He attended Tucson Jr. Adventist Academy from first through tenth grade. He graduated high school from Thunderbird Adventist Academy. He attended Loma Linda University where he was the original second tenor of the La Sierra Vocal Octet. He obtained his degree in elementary education (liberal arts). He has a masters degree in curriculum and instruction from La Sierra University, and a doctorate in leadership and administration from the University of Phoenix. His doctoral dissertation researched Principal Follow-up and Teacher Implementation of Professional Development.
Michael has served as a preschool teacher, elementary teacher, Title I literacy coordinator, educational consultant, and teaching principal. He has been married for nearly over 20 years, and is the father of five wonderful individuals. He has deep committment to Jesus and looks forward to His soon return.
