The Cash Learning Partnership is a 5-agency partnership focusing on how local markets can be used to meet basic needs in humanitarian emergencies. Transfering money or giving vouchers to disaster-affected people allows them to shop locally for what they need, offering a greater sense of dignity and stimulating local economies.

The CaLP is composed of Oxfam GB, the British Red Cross, Save the Children, Action Against Hunger / ACF International and the Norwegian Refugee Council. Through the CaLP, these agencies are working to improve the effectiveness of humanitarian response by building capacity and knowledge to use appropriate cash-based interventions in emergencies.
