Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is the disaster relief ministry of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) that focuses on walking with survivors and their communities through the process of long-term rebuilding and recovery. When most disaster relief agencies leave a community after 6 months or a year, PDA commits to work alongside survivors 3 to 5 years as they rebuild their communities and reclaim their lives. From hurricane Katrina, to the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia, in the devastation in Alabama and Missouri from tornados, to the earthquake in Haiti PDA is at work to help people rebuild their lives.
