Zack Copping was brought up in a cave in Southern Spain and on The Isle of Skye in Scotland. He has been passionate about film from the moment he saw The Bad and the Beautiful in a Spanish bar as a four year old.
Since then he has worked as a labourer, a ship's cook, fisherman, mountain guide and rave administrator, before studying film at Screen Academy Scotland.
His short film, Cotopaxi, which marked his debut as a director, was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland and was in competition for a Golden Bear in Berlin.
His second short, Foxy and Marina, was nominated for Best Scottish Short at the Glasgow Short Film Festival 2013.
Zack is currently working on two feature film scripts with Mexican writer Juan Manuel Fernández Chico, as well as developing other short and feature projects.
