After completing a degree in Economics, Simon Spender started work in TV commercials as a runner, including stints as Boom, location manager and production manager on over 150 adverts whilst continuing to make short films.
He began freelancing as an internet video director and made various promotional videos for software developments, websites and night clubs. After making four test spots in a 3-day shoot Simon won representation and started to direct adverts for the likes of Publicis and Saatchi & Saatchi for clients including Cereal Partners, Woolwich, BUPA and The Guardian, which led to him being short listed for Best New Director at the Kinsale Sharks. Simon has continued to work on exciting projects ranging from stills commissions, virals and digital campaigns
