Damian Martorana embodies the true spirit of art in motion, first as an athlete, a professional dancer, instructor, actor and now producer. Starting at a young age, Damian lived on the court, in front and behind the camera, with twenty years of education and experience in athletics, multi-media, acting, dancing, and the fine arts. Damian is a versatile, skilled, and gifted artist.
Damian began playing volleyball in high school, which led him to Penn State University and three years with the European Professional Volleyball League.
Eager to make a professional transition into entertainment, Damian sought out the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, which inspired him to create Rhythm Fitness, a Ballroom & Latin Dance Cardio class, which quickly became a hit of people of all ages and genders, and the program is now taught throughout the world.
His performance training extends beyond the dance floor. Inspired by the acting and writing skills developed under the NY Acting Ensemble, Damian introduced Rhythm & Fever, a theatrical ballroom dance experience resembling Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
Damian is a creative visionary who’s style is unique with the use of harmonizing music, movement, and scripts to create a full sensory experience. Damian’s most recent film and video ventures include; Vignettes, Music Videos, and marketing material for Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe from “So You Think You Can Dance”, Shirley and Mark Ballas from “Dancing with The Stars” and other World renowned Ballroom Dancers and Events.
Whether teaching, performing or producing, Damian feels blessed to share his talents with others and to have an opportunity to make an impact on the world as an Independent Artist and leave his mark in history.
