USASA VIDEO GAMES 2015 Presented by GoPro is a “one-of-a-kind” interactive national snowboarding event that allows the participants to enjoy the freedom of riding with the creativity of filming and editing while promoting their local series at the same time. Each team has the chance to compete with friends via online voting for their favorite Video Game edit. Winners will be awarded prizes based on points earned by the particular events deadline. Prizes are awarded at the USASA Nationals in Copper CO, on March 28-April 7th, 2015.
What makes VGE unique is our dedication to helping our participants create better media. We encourage teams to develop a storyline which helps carry a viewer through the series edits. We combined our own exclusive judging criteria to each stop and have seen great success with finding the most entertaining videos within our series. Each series of edits are given a choice of approved music and also a professionally designed animated bumper package giving the videos a polished look. Last but not least, our elite video judging panel decides who make the best edits. This panel is made up of top pro athletes, cinematographers, editors and industry professionals. VGE has proven to find the best videos from our participants, and we will continue to search for the most talented and creative teams out there, this year and many more to come.
TAKING OUR STANCE – We know that most riders, skaters, surfers, skiers, and BMX kids are tired of the competition circuit, and more attuned to having fun and enjoying their freedom. Video Games will combine the fun of filming using all aspects of the individual sports, while progressing tricks and creativity, and continuously pushing the level of digital media making through a contest like format. Video Games is an event for all levels, and we encourage kids to have fun, learn from the experience, and become better filmmakers.
