Jamie Kruse received her Bachelors in Fine Arts in Art History from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. After graduation she became interested in film and video and began a video art career. For the past eight years she has been working on creating videos for touring musicians, art gallery/museum installations and editing music videos both in studio and mixing videos live. This led her to pursue a Masters in Fine Arts in Motion Pictures, Television, and Acting with an emphasis in Editing.
Her first memory of film was her first experience in a theatre. E.T. was the film and it changed her perspective on the world. Amazed by the depths in which film can touch and stir the human being, she decided to make film at the young age of 2. Believe it or not, it stuck with her and has shaped her path leading her to a career as an editor.
In college she got involved with the electronic music scene where DJs and VJs were the gods and goddess of technology and art combined. She created animation and shot video for clips to mix with live music events around the country. This parlayed into making music videos for Bitter:Sweet, a band out of Los Angeles. Museum and art gallery installations have also been on the path for Jamie, exposing her to a variety of ways to edit and exhibit films.
Currently, Jamie is working to get Mind Temple Media up and running as her first production company. Mind Temple will be focusing on documentaries and helping non-profits create media to further their reach to the communities they are seeking out.
