Joth received his Bachelor's degree in Film & Television Production and has made a career out of making movies for over 20 years. After working on his first feature film, Pet Sematary II, Joth began working on the television series Coach before working for Steven Spielberg's production company, Amblin Entertainment. It was only after being accepted into the prestigious Director's Guild training program that he left Amblin to become an Assistant Director.
As a member of the Director's Guild of America Joth racked up dozens of credits from all of the major motion picture studios on feature films such as Starship Troopers and End of Days to television series' such as Baywatch and C.S.I. Joth was also nominated for a DGA Award honoring outstanding directorial achievement in movies for television.
When the demands of a successful Hollywood career started outpacing his responsibility as a father, Joth shifted his focus to more independent projects when the call came to do a family member's wedding.
"My first reaction was 'not a chance', but when I started researching their options I realized I could give them so much more than they could get anywhere else. I've seen the full potential of this creative medium and it's emotional impact firsthand."
"A professionally produced wedding film will bring joy to a family for generations. I've never been so honored to work on something so significant as I have creating timeless memories for those special couples I've been blessed to work with."
Joth lives with his wife and two young daughters in Westlake Village, California. His passion for filmmaking is rivaled only by his passion for motorcycles. In between projects, he's been known to enjoy a spirited canyon ride astride his bright red Ducati 916.
