Cinematographer Yael Shulman was born in Hollywood California in 1979, raised in New York City, and graduated from The School Of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2001 with a BFA in Film.
Yael has also a received a certificate for completion of REDucation from RED Digital Cinema and AbelCine in May, 2014.
Yael has worked as a cinematographer and camera operator for films, music videos, TV pilots and clients that have included CBS Sports, HBO, Showtime, Complex, GQ, and PBS.
Yael's first feature film credit was for her work as Live Performance Camera on the movie "Mistaken For Strangers", a documentary about the rock band The National.
It was the Opening Night Film of the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. The movie opened in theaters on March 28th 2014, having received a distribution deal with Starz Digtital Media and Abramorama.
