Yasmina Reggad graduated in History from the Sorbonne University. She is an independent curator and writer based in London, and works internationally. Her recent projects include Ce n’est pas du sang, c’est du rouge with Gohar Dashti and Shilpa Gupta (March-April 2012) and Mitosis with Jonny Briggs (April-June 2012), both for the White Project Gallery, Paris. She is also the Director and Founder of the non-profit organisation, Photo-Festivals, for which she initiated and presently curates the artist residencies, development and public programmes. Since January 2012, she is the Co-ordinator of aria (artist residency in algiers). Reggad is regularly called upon to participate in panel discussions and talks for organisations such as the National Photography Symposium, Cornerhouse in the UK, The Sharjah Art Foundation March Meeting in the UAE or Casa Tomada in Brazil.
Before becoming a curator Reggad, worked for almost 10 years in the publishing industry and public institutions in France, Mexico, Canada, Spain and the UK.
She graduated from Sorbonne where she read European Medieval History.
