A little bit more than two weeks after the end of principle photography, we're glad to release the teaser for our short film "Nocturnes". We intend to finish a trailer by July. The film will be finished in August and hopefully be screened at multiple film festivals around the world.
The film was shot on a RED Dragon in 5k 24fps, except the slow-motion which was shot in 4k WS at 75fps.
For the aerial shot in the teaser, we used a Freefly Cinestar 8 with a DJI Ronin gimbal to fly the RED Dragon. The pilot of the drone was the incredible talented Felix Hosenseidl from Flymotions. The second shot in the teaser was filmed by two people carrying the DJI Ronin.
Shooting this autumn film in the Black Forest national park was anything but what we expected! Misty mornings, heavy rainfalls, beautiful sunrises - last year's fall had it all!
Most of the aerials that you can see in this video were shot with a DJI S1000 in combination with the Panasonic GH4 as well as a DJI Phantom with a Go Pro Hero 3+. We used the Canon 5D Mark III for most of the timelapses and the Sony FS700 for most of the slow motion shots.
The short film "summer" has been created as part of the four seasons film and photography project “Adventure in the Black Forest” about the unique animal and plant life in the Black Forest national park in southern Germany. Using many technical facilities like time lapses, macro and aerial shots, the film shows the national park from every perspective possible. Particularly a young audience is addressed in an easily accessible manner and thereby becomes more aware of the beauty of nature and is maybe even inspired to visit the national park. Because only those who know and appreciate nature are willing to protect it.
Der Kurzfilm “ABENTEUER SCHWARZWALD I Sommer” ist als Teil des vier Jahreszeiten Film- und Fotografieprojektes “Abenteuer Schwarzwald” über die einzigartige Tier- und Pflanzenwelt im Nationalpark Schwarzwald entstanden. Unter dem Einsatz vieler technischer Möglichkeiten wie Zeitraffer, Makro- und Luftaufnahmen, zeigt der Film den Schwarzwald aus jeder möglichen Perspektive. Vor allem ein junges Publikum soll auf eine zugängliche, unaufdringliche Art und Weise angesprochen werden und für die Schönheit des Schwarzwaldes sensibilisiert oder gar für einen Besuch im Nationalpark begeistert werden. Denn nur wer die Natur kennt und schätzt, ist auch dazu bereit sie zu schützen.
