The Ypulse 2009 Totally Wired Teacher Award, sponsored by Dell, is a great way to recognize teachers who are harnessing technology to help students collaborate, learn and achieve.

Here's How to Submit Your Application!

Step One: Get the Scoop

Go to the Ypulse Mashup website to see all the official contest rules, details and other information about the 2010 Ypulse Mashup Totally Wired Teacher Award.

Step Two: Create a ‘Totally Wired Teacher Tip” Video

In the spirit of generating great ideas that other teachers can use through this application process, we are asking applicants to upload a 60-second video featuring a best practice or advice you would like to share with other educators related to integrating technology into the classroom.

These will be judged on the content of what you’re saying only, not production value, and should be just you speaking to the camera vs. using any special effects.

Just look into a camera or webcam, share your tip and upload! Select videos may also be posted on the Dell Edu4U website en.community.dell.com/blogs/education/default.aspx

Important: Make sure that you are the only person in the video. Please do not include any students or other minors in your video.

When you’re done, join the Ypulse Totally Wired Teacher Award Group on Vimeo and add your video to the pool. You can either upload it directly or “add “a video from your own Vimeo account.

Tip: You’ll also need to submit the link to your video on Vimeo with your application. The online application won’t save your data at all if you don’t complete it in one sitting, so be sure to do the video first.

Step Three: Submit Your Application!

• Don’t Forget! Be sure to include the Vimeo link to your video with your application!

• Add your video to our Totally Wired Teacher Group on Vimeo

• The group is moderated and we will have to approve your video before it shows up in the group pool. Don't worry--we'll be fast!

• You’re done! Winners will be notified by Ypulse and Dell by May 14, 2009.
