Video & Film Poetry
Video/Film Poetry is loosely defined as any word and image in video/film form, across genres, purist, inter-spliced, cross-disciplinary. A video/filmpoem is a kind of transliteration. It is a process of converting text from one script into another, thus becoming a 'verbal/visual' cluster, a complex, a nexus, a multiplicity composed of vectors that intersect. The video/filmpoem casts moving images of poetry into the cinematic stream in ways that enable it, itself, to become a poem. Video/film poetry is a new and emerging art form.
