ゆきははなである　新野の雪まつり

長野県阿南町新野で正月に行われる「新野の雪まつり」は、春先に降る雪を豊穣の先触れとする予祝の行事である。祭場には「さいほう」をはじめとする〈まれびと〉が次々と現れ、呪術的な舞や祝言で一年の豊穣を祈願する。「映像民俗学」の方法論を模索していた野田真吉が、1975年から79年の4年をかけて撮影。祭の初めから終わりまでをじっくりと記録し、衰えた生命力を振るわせるハレの場として祭の構造を捉えようとした長編記録作品。 （1980年／129分／カラー） 製作・演出・編集：野田真吉 撮影：亘真幸 製作協力：大野耕司・大塚正之・小川克巳・岩佐寿枝・亘知也 音響：井上洋右 ナレーター：高島陽 タイトル：城所昌夫 協力：伊豆神社・雪まつり保存会
