Back in January, we launched Share the Screen, our ongoing effort to support women in film. And while this time of year tends to get nostalgic, we’ve got our eyes set on the future: namely, the future of videos, and the amazing people behind them. That’s why we’ve combed through the wondrous Vimeo community and pulled together this playlist, filled with incredible videos from today’s most inventive, badass women in film. All the women included below have hooked us in with their storytelling prowess, specificity of voice — and simply undeniable talents.

Watch on, be wowed, and follow these filmmakers stat to keep tabs on all that they upload in 2017.

Joey Ally, Jen Tullock and Hannah Pearl Utt

Yes! I do know an incredible film. Apology. Released April 2016. Directed, produced and filmed by women. Most fantastic treatment of grief in a film I've ever seen, at the end. It is already an influential work. It was put out by the National Film Board of Canada.

Hi! I hope you will feature my film Dog By Dog. We will have our global distribution announcement in the next week or so. The trailer is at As Executive Producer, I am committed to ending puppy mills with this film. Thanks.

Vimeo, did you guys know your download links aren't working any more? If you right click to save it just downloads an html file, if you just click the download button it plays the video file. PS: I know this blog post has nothing to do with this, but I couldn't find your feedback/report an error page. This was the closest thing I could find.

I just to say this site disgusts me!!! I try to view videos from my Tupperware emails and it won't let me. It constantly states wrong password and I've changed so many times, still won't ever except my password including new each time!!!! Why would I even think to watch a video when I can't use it???

Want was left out of first sentence.
