Elevating the creator in the age of AI

In his opening keynote, Vimeo CEO Philip Moyer explained why video continues to have a significant impact in the Information Age. Video stands out from the content crowd by engaging viewers' emotions, building trust, and sharing stories that inspire action.

At Vimeo, we understand the power of video to connect people, and we know that it’s creators that build those connections. Our creator-first ethos is reflected in several new features, including those focused on video monetization. New subscription options, management tools, analytics, and integrations make it easier for creators to reach their audience and run a successful video business.

Innovation for video professionals

Zoe Massa, SVP and General Manager of Vimeo Self Serve, walked the audience through a series of innovative tools designed for video professionals.

Vimeo discovery surfaces now include Watch and Feed — new features that allow you to track trending content and follow a feed tailored to your interests. Now more than ever, Vimeo is a place to gain recognition, build community, and get inspired.

Vimeo for Apple TV is back! This summer, we rebuilt our Apple TV app with the highest-quality playback, a fresh design, and more intelligent search.

Building on our support for Apple's Spatial Video, Vimeo will soon support Apple's Immersive Video and Projected Media Profile. Zoe also announced Vimeo's support for VR180 — the video format that blends immersive depth and cinematic framing.

Getting videos approved is an essential part of the creation process, but it can also be the most painful. Senior Product Director Megan Dunleavy took to the stage to share Vimeo's fully revamped review solution. Time-coded annotations and status labels simplify feedback, while enhanced version management makes it easier to audit history and track changes. We've also added new permission capabilities, allowing you to control what reviewers see and how they interact.

Our modern review experience enables your team to work faster, simplify review cycles, and publish videos more frequently. We’ve solved some of the most painful and tedious challenges of reviewing and approving videos, giving you more time to focus on what matters most — creativity.

Creators take control with Vimeo Streaming

The creator economy is a multi-billion-dollar opportunity, but the challenges are enormous.

"Creators are expected to be everywhere at once, yet they’re at the mercy of algorithms where success hinges on something completely outside their control," explained Francesca Sussman, Vimeo's head of creator success. "You can pour your heart into a project, yet it's the system that determines whether it reaches thousands or barely anyone."

We built Vimeo Streaming to give control back to creators. Vimeo Streaming enables you to create your own custom-branded streaming service, allowing you to own your data, generate additional revenue streams, and establish direct relationships with your fans without interference from algorithms.

For example, Dropout (formerly CollegeHumor) utilized Vimeo Streaming to develop its streaming platform and expand to over one million paid subscribers. World of Wonder, the media company behind RuPaul's Drag Race, launched WOW Presents Plus — a community hub for their most passionate fans.

Matt Moore, who leads the Vimeo Streaming team, explored what makes the product so powerful. We recently launched a range of new tools to customize almost every part of the streaming experience and ensure brand consistency.

Vimeo's partnership with NPAW, the leader in streaming analytics, means you now gain enterprise-grade insights directly within our video platform. Wrapping up the Video Streaming segment, Matt walked us through how creators can monetize their content with pay-per-view, ads, and subscription models.

Raising the bar for enterprise video

Did you know that the average person watches more than 17 hours of online video every week — and that’s without considering the time they spend engaging with video at work. Video is essential for today’s enterprise, and Vimeo has built a platform that brings together the tools creators love with the security and governance features that enterprises require.

Enterprises cannot afford for video to fail. They need to inspire, engage, and deliver, and they trust Vimeo to deliver every single time. As AI drives the next generation of enterprise video tools, Vimeo will be at the forefront, managing the disruption and empowering our customers to take advantage.

Take Axalta. “They needed to train thousands of technicians and partners across more than 130 countries on the latest product technology," said Vimeo's VP of Product Marketing, Rachita Paes. "Imagine the scale of that challenge — different languages, different time zones, constantly evolving products — and yet Vimeo makes it all possible. They use us to create and deliver thousands of hours of live and on-demand video lessons to ensure everyone is in sync."

Vimeo AI tools including auto generated scripts and translations

AI is setting new standards for enterprise video strategies. Customers, employees, and learners will soon expect content that's interactive, instantly discoverable, and tailored to their needs. Ari Ross, our Enterprise product lead, shared how Vimeo is helping organizations keep pace with new solutions for learning and development, events, and marketing.

The next generation of Vimeo AI

One year ago, we introduced AI translation tools to help creators reach a wider audience. But that was just the beginning. SVP of Engineering Matt Fisher explained how the next generation of Vimeo AI turns videos into interactive viewing experiences.

In an era of mass content production, even video is becoming overwhelming. To help you cut through the clutter, we're introducing Vimeo's Agentic Video — new technology that makes video searchable and accessible to LLMs.

Agentic Video will redefine what “search” means for our customers. It will allow filmmakers to ask simple questions, such as “What’s the difference between these two cuts of this scene,” and it will enable learners to request an instant summary of an educational video.

Philip shared how Vimeo customers, including UOL EdTech, will benefit from Agentic Video:

"Agentic Video will allow UOL’s learners to ask questions in the language of their choice and jump to the exact moment the video answers the question," explained Philip. "Agentic Video will also allow UOL to understand and summarize the questions their learners ask and the hotspots in the videos so that they can create even more engaging courses."

With Vimeo’s Ask a Video and Video Intelligence System, you can get accurate answers without searching through timelines. Ask Your Library takes natural language one step further — search for and locate videos based on meaning and context, not just exact keywords.

Another exciting AI innovation is the Vimeo Model Context Protocol (MCP). Vimeo MCP allows external AI agents to interact with your video content for customer applications and intelligent workflows. In a series of demonstrations, Matt used simple prompts to generate detailed summaries, distribute content with Vimeo Showcases, and reveal actionable insights.

Vimeo AI capabilities such as generating chapters

"This isn't just about finding a specific moment; it's about transforming your video library into a dynamic source of truth, accessible exactly when and where you need it most," said Matt. "The possibilities for discovery, learning, and strategic decision-making are truly limitless."
