  2. Ferret Fred Productions founder Roy DuVerger is proud to announce that our short film “Wheelchair Wildlife Safari” is a 2023 Focus on Ability Film Festival International Finalist.

Nature-deficit disorder affects people of all ages and capabilities, especially children and people with disability. With this film we hope to show that there are opportunities for people who use wheelchairs to venture out into nature; that they have the ability to experience nature, not only in their backyards, but around the world. We seek to inspire people and businesses to become involved and support organizations and programs like Wheelchair Wildlife Safari in Tanzania to improve the health and spiritual well-being of people with disability enabling them to ultimately feel alive.

100 Wheelchair Tanzania & Wheelchair Wildlife Safari. We break down barriers for people with physical disabilities by organizing safari tours for them in Serengeti National Park where they will see animals in their natural habitats. Breaking down former accessibility barriers will give them a feeling of Tanzania’s heartbeat; let them discover magical sights and add smiles to their faces; to allow them to experience the "big five" found in Tanzania, including lions, elephants and leopards.
