Affinity Photo is the fastest, smoothest, most precise image editing software for Mac!
Powerful alternative to Adobe Photoshop but at times missing UI (User Interface) options which would make this tool so much more user friendly. Example in order to Flip the Golden Spiral you must know the short cut as there is no button on the context sensitive menu. There is also no button for uncropping in the context sensitive menu and the user must know where it is buried inside a drop down menu. Then there is the default black and white colors which is used all the time for masking, Affinity could have automatically include the same shortcuts X and D to set the default colors and then to flip colors. They could also add a small button to allow the default colors to be set when the user is new and does not know the short cuts. This is only my second day using the app and I am sure I will find hundreds of more things which could make this app more user friendly.
I used PhotoShop for many years to do old photo restoration. It just got too bloated and expensive. Affinity is AWESOME. It does all I need, it's well priced and the tutorials are exceptional.
All set to buy as a Photoshop alternative save one profound problem. How the heck do you move or cut and paste a selection without the entire layer being copied, pasted or moved? I have spent hours on YouTube and in your own tutorials and cannot figure out how to do this. Simple cut-and-paste does not work and I could really use a heads up to help me make a decision in buying.
