This is my submission for the "Animation Sequence Project". Created in cinema 4D and After Effects.
The rules for the Animation Sequence Project (animationsequence.com):
1. Animation must be no more than 10 seconds
2. Animation must start and end with a 250x250 pixel square in the center on the screen
This was a fun little project for me. I added an additional restriction on myself...there are no colored materials AT ALL in this video. All materials used in Cinema 4D were pure white only in the color channel. Soon I will publish a tutorial on this type of technique, so stay tuned for that!
Submission to the Animation Sequence Project, the animation must start and end with a 250px x 250px square and can be up to ten seconds long. Enjoy! Sound effects acquired from freesfx.co.uk
Arent Benthem invited me to create a 10 sec. animation
This piece will be part of The Animation Sequence Project.
You can find more info about this project here : animationsequence.com/about/
The Animation Sequence Project is a unique co-creation project with the world’s greatest animation artists involved.
Animators from all around the world are invited to develop a short piece of animation. The only requirements for the content of the animation are that it begins and ends with a square in the middle of the screen.
The square then can become anything. A box, a square character, a building, a circle, and can tell it’s own little story. Anything, as long as it is a square again within 10 seconds.
Eventually, of a selected number of entries a short story will be created from 1 to 3 minutes. This final result of the Animation Sequence Project will provide an overview of the state-of-the-art of animation in the world and will be shown at animation festivals all around the world.
