1. A very rain filled afternoon at Green Lake in Mount Rainier National Park. Video was recorded in 4k-30 using a GoPro Hero 4 Black (initial time lapse recorded in 4k-15 using a GoPro Hero 3 Black and processed in GoPro Studio) and then downsampled to 1080p-30 in post-processing. The audio was recorded using a Zoom H2N portable digital recorder and then added in using Sony Vegas Pro. Please direct any inquiries to: scole (at) scolephoto (dot) com.

  2. Not generally well known (and not serviced by any hiking trails), the old growth grove of trees along the Clackamas River at Big Bottom was one of several fragmented areas that were part of the creation of the Clackamas Wilderness back in 2009. The forest here is part of the Western Hemlock / Swordfern plant association and has many large specimens of Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar. Video was recorded in 4k-30 using a GoPro Hero 4 Black and then downsampled to 1080p-30 in post-processing. The audio was recorded using a Zoom H2N portable digital recorder and then added in using Sony Vegas Pro. Please direct any inquiries to: scole (at) scolephoto (dot) com.

  3. After a sun filled day, I had hopes of finally capturing a nice sunset on Mount Hood from Bald Mountain. This video was captured on 5/7/2015 in 4k-30 using a GoPro Hero 4 Black and then downsampled to 1080p. The audio in the video was captured separately using a Zoom H2N Digital Recorder. The time lapse segment at the very end was captured in 4k-15 using a GoPro Hero 3 Black and then speed up to create the segment used here. Shame the mountain never fully revealed itself but a beautiful scene nonetheless! For inquiries, please email: scole (at) scolephoto (dot) com.

An ongoing series of videos dedicated to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Each video is typically five minutes in length and consists of a montage of video clips over a bed of high quality audio recorded at the same time in the field (single source, and absent of human noise to the extent possible). My goal with these videos is to transport viewers into the environment and experience what makes the Pacific Northwest such an incredible region.

This channel is the beginning of a new project for me- a compilation of "immersion" videos of the various locations I visit during my photographic hikes. I hope the combination of high quality video and audio help viewers experience the natural beauty located throughout the Pacific Northwest.

I hope to do more with this project once Vimeo adds a few key enhancements to their service. Thanks for viewing!
