Qieer’s mum used to be a writer, Qieer has the pure admire on writing and start to dream about becoming a poet herself. This is just one of those young dreams that will fade away. However, as one day Qieer’s mum told Qieer a very short poem that she wrote when she was very young, which catches her nerves until then. “ I am not existing until your presence” comes from this very short poem. She creates a series of images telling the story of her mind.
Technique-wised, this is an interactive project by using arduino, sensor, heating system and sensitive paints, she tries to challenge the formats of where can animation or motions can be conveyed. As we’re all very much used to watching motions and animations on screens or through projectors.
Although Bibles says, there is light, there comes lives. To Qieer, lives are coming from somewhere in total darkness, the darkness of warmth, somewhere like a womb.
What we are not aware of doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Lives are generating themselves everywhere in every second. Your awareness is the Light, it lightens up the existence in darkness and hey, “ I am not existing until your presence.”
