Last year, I set off around Northern India on my own, with no real plans. I just wanted to take travel tips from locals and meet people along the way, interviewing those that had stories to tell.
The idea was to take only film and no digital, so I had about 10 rolls (30mins) of 16mm for 4 weeks.
I wanted it to be more about the process of shooting, and being more involved/selective with what I filmed. It is a really terrible way of working when you come to the edit.. but.. the challenge was fun.
I met and 'interviewed' several people, many with great stories.. I chose 3 and the moments I shot were guided by these encounters.
Vol 2.
I met Matka Man by chance, on an early morning wonder around New Delhi. He invited me to his house, gave me breakfast, and told me his story.
