We spent four days in Leogane, epicenter of the 2010 earthquake, filming a story of two non-profits, Building Goodness Foundation, and GOALS, and their efforts to help Destra, a fishing village there. Together, they hoped to raise the awareness, and the funds, to build a community center in a place that had no proper freestanding structures of its own, a building that would serve as both a shelter, and also a hub for education and medicine. Our film looked at the impact that GOALS' soccer program had on the village, and the monumental improvement the sport had made on the lives of the people who lived there.
The film was a resounding success, and spearheaded a campaign that ended up raising over $100,000, and resulted in the construction of a new community center for the residents of Destra.
