Long story short, 3 years ago, in Chengdu, China, I met a guy, SIM. He was the owner, with his wife, MAKI, of an old guesthouse in Chengdu. I met him at a restaurant and at that time, my chinese was shit and he helped me out to order vegetarian food.
We talked and told me he opened one in Kyoto, Japan, called Soi GH and told me that I was welcome if i needed someday.
2 years later, I decided to live in Taiwan and stayed there for 6 months. Visiting Japan was tempting since its very close but... i had forgotten this story... until the week before leaving the Island, I remembered !!!
A few minutes later, I found out on internet the name and the place of the Guesthouse and contacted Sim !
MAki answered me and welcomed me in exchange of this little clip for their awesome place.
I will never forget those people and the kindness they had shown to me.
