With house prices in London reaching astronomical levels, we look at how companies are coming up with interesting and innovative solutions to combat the housing crisis.
In this video we visited Mark Burton, owner of Tiny House Cabins, a company that builds compact, traditional housing alternatives, aimed squarely at the low end of the housing market and those who are unable to save while in rented accommodation.
He speaks to us about how the buildings are designed to be as close to traditional housing as possible, while offering multi-use devices to make best use of the space, and how they can be made sustainable, eco-friendly, and fully off-grid using aspects like solar panels, and house batteries. Mark also speaks to us about some of the challenges with this type of living like finding available land, and getting planning permission.
