"The Trouble of the Rings" / "Суета вокруг колец" (2002-2004) is a trilogy of fan parody films, based on Peter Jackson's movie trilogy "The Lord of the Rings" and loosely inspired by J.R.R.Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" book. The trilogy consists of three films: "The Trouble of the Rings: Fellowship", "The Trouble of the Rings 2: The Towers" and "The Trouble of the Rings Returns: King-Size".
The non-commercial fan trilogy was filmed by Fellowship Art Group in and around Moscow. Each part was filmed only 6 months after the original premiere of each of Jackson's films, and had its limited theatrical premiere in December, a week before the next LOTR sequel would hit the theaters.
The TOTR Trilogy Supertrailer, created for the third installment in the series, has been awarded the "Best Parody" price at Ring*Con 2004.
