We've partnered with Samovar Tea of San Francisco to provide fine teas at The Interval. Besides our on-menu teas, Samovar-founder Jesse Jacob helped us source a 01989 vintage Suncha Pu-erh tea for our 'brickstarter' offerings. Pu-erh is unusual because it improves over time and each serving can be enjoyed for up to 20 infusions–its taste characteristics change over those many cups. So this tea is a perfect fit with Long Now and our goal to make The Interval a place for conversation. There is a limited supply of this unique tea; in fact, we have the last of this vintage in existence.
This amazing tea is only available to Interval donors at the Founders Tea Club level. Like our 'Bottle Club'' for St George Spirits' artisan gin and whiskey, Long Now keeps the tea on-hand at The Interval for Tea Club members to come and enjoy. Each tea container is numbered and hangs above the bar along with Bottle Club bottles in our specially-designed bottle keep ceiling.
This tea is only be served at The Interval and is not be available on our regular menu. We are thrilled to partner with Samovar and for Jesse and team's invaluable help in adding the finest tea to The Interval's beverage offerings.
