The Kid, our debut short film, is a story of a young US Paratrooper, Jack (Emmet O’Riabhaigh), who on D-DAY gets lost in a forest in Normandy following the ambush of his squad. Injured and shell shocked he stumbles across a child (James O’Connor) in the forest and takes it upon himself to get him to safety.
We made this film on no budget as part of our final year project in Multimedia at the Cork Institute of Technology 2011.
The Kid was accepted into the “Made in Cork” Section of the Cork Film Festival in November 2011.
