Stickup is a code-based generative lyrics video I directed and programmed for the track Stickup (itunes.apple.com/us/album/stick-up-feat.-juliette-lewis/id1059843613) by Karma Fields (soundcloud.com/karmafields) & MORTEN (soundcloud.com/mortenofficial) featuring Juliette Lewis (twitter.com/JulietteLewis). The entire lyrics video consists of multiple stages that are programmed and generated using Processing.
The system for generating the visuals is partially derived from the one previously used in Build the Cities (vimeo.com/121096680). Lyrics are parsed, making each layer of quadtree structure subdivide itself to a corresponding pattern.
