The original concept for the documentary was to compare and contrast the perspectives on nuclear weapons found in the Hiroshima Peace Museum in Japan with those of the Bradbury Science Museum in Los Alamos. But after Los Alamos National Lab refused to let the filmmakers shoot in the Bradbury Museum – despite Senator Jeff Bingaman sending a letter to LANL on their behalf – the film evolved into a broad survey of the nuclear weapons cycle and its continuing effect on the world today. The result is a movie that the National Catholic Reporter describes as “(an) excellent documentary film…a great resource.”
