1. You Came (again) is from the ‘lost’ album Foreverandever – a trove of 90’s recordings documenting a wild affair.
2. Nerd Sex is a new recording celebrating sex for obsessives, from the line-up that toured Europe in 2014 (with new singer Bee Ororo). youtu.be/IdLYCJOfkQA
3. Fu*k You Till I’m Dead is the song deftly covered by US electro-band YACHT this year, causing worldwide headlines with a backfiring video stunt. This is a tweaked version of the original CD-single, Tender Words, with Dominique Levillain.
4. Dinosaur Sex (dusted version) is the 1981 "post-punk classic" (NME), condensed from its rampant 9 minutes to a more convenient 3½.
Representing four decades of Fodder’s fecund versatility, consistency and creativity!
Family Fodder are best known for their string of playful, idiosyncratic post-punk singles such as Debbie Harry, Savoir Faire, Film Music and Playing Golf. Now this 7” EP showcases four intimate songs from across their lengthy history.
In recent years Family Fodder godfather Alig Fodder issued brand new Family Fodder albums ‘Classical Music’ and ‘Variety’ with vocalist Darlini Singh Kaul, daughter of original Fodder singer Dominique Levillain, on The State 51 Conspiracy label. He’s also collaborated with both Psapp and David Shrigley and toured Europe with a revived Family Fodder line-up.
The early recordings ‘Monkey Banana Kitchen’, ‘Schizophrenia Party’ and ‘Sunday Girls’ have been given respectful reissue treatments on LP and CD by German label Staubgold.
And now the lost album 'Foreverandever' has been reconstructed for CD and digital release, preceded by this 7” EP ‘Sex Works’.
