Prologue:
Luke 19:10 says “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” In this
gospel account, written from the perspective of a Gentile believer, we see a clear picture of
Jesus as one who was sent by God to redeem not only the Hebrew people but anyone who
would trust in Him. The Gospel of Luke records the historical work of Jesus Christ from the
perspective of one who was truly lost, but found new life in the loving work of God’s Son.
