Almost everyone in the motion design industry has likely heard of School of Motion — and that’s because they’re one of the best places to learn anything and everything you need to know to excel as a motion designer. So we were thrilled when they reached out to us asking us to direct a manifesto video unveiling their new brand and capturing their mission.
Partnering with some of our design heroes, we developed a concept where the visuals would begin as simple shapes + line work, and gradually increase in complexity to incorporate multiple styles of design in all three dimensions working together — all to illustrate how School of Motion’s education philosophy can help take almost anybody from novice to superstar.
As always, we’re so thankful for the amazing designers, animators, writers, and sound/music folks we are privileged to team up with on projects like this — we wouldn’t be able to do what we do without them!

Back in 2019 (there’s no way that was only 3 years ago, right?) when we helped Webflow with the opening video for their very first No-Code Conference, we’d never have imagined how much their innovation would transform software development. Building on the visual language of the original No-Code video, we pushed ourselves to create something that would show off all of Webflow’s incredible new features in a fresh way.

Ordinary Folk is a motion design & animation studio based in Vancouver, Canada. See our work and say hi at ordinaryfolk.co.
Our friends at SXSW invited us to create the opening title sequence for the 2022 Film Festival. It's our fourth year collaborating together. This time we wanted to build an anthology of different visual styles to speak to the diversity of genre and film that play at the festival. There are 14 easter eggs hidden throughout the titles. Can you spot them all?
