This project received the support the Royal Abbaye of Fontevraud (residency), the Cinematheque of Montreal (residency), Pictanovo and Ciclic. The shooting took place in 2017 at CICLIC Animation (Vendôme- FRANCE), before the post-production at the NFB (Montreal- CANADA) in the winter.

En 2016, Étreintes a bénéficié d'un mois de résidence d'écriture à l'Abbaye Royale de Fontevraud (FRANCE), et de six semaines de développement à la Cinémathèque de Montréal (CANADA). Le tournage a eu lieu d'Avril à Octobre 2017, à CICLIC Animation (Vendôme), et a reçu le soutien de Pictanovo.
