1. Martin Luther King's speech, "I Have a Dream" is one of America's most noble moments, when the arc of history curved toward justice and freedom. Hearing it now from today's perspective, we can sense the seismic changes taking place in the hot summer sun. This was not obvious to everyone back in August 1963, at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial.

The great moment was captured live, so we can relive it. But most of the video of the speech available today is fragmented, selected excerpts, or grainy, has a hum in the audio, low-contrast in the video of Dr. King himself, rough edges with noise and black, with faded, mono sound.

See youtube.com/watch?v=smEqnnklfYs for the best, most complete version I found online.

I have the tools and took a little time today to clean the video up, equalize and add some dimension to the sound. So in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, it is shared here.

May his words remind us of our past. Of where we came from, and who we are today. Of how far our journey has yet to go.
