For this video collage project, I assembled, altered and edited stock and found 16mm footage. My goal was to make a piece in which material from a variety of different sources is arranged into a sort of imposed narrative coherence. The strips of faded film are suggestive of brief flashes of memory. The old woman functions as both the subject and a framing device, and the images we see are the recollections and visions that spring to mind as she falls asleep.
