In April 2014, This is My City partnered with the Calgary Homeless Foundation to transform a rundown rooming house that stood at 222-15 Ave SW in Calgary for over a century, into a vibrant work of art. It was adorned with photographs of the Beltline celebrating the community’s diversity and distinct character. As well, colourful paintings by a dozen different artists infused walls, windows, doors, mailboxes, and trees with new life. In the spirit of collaboration and inclusiveness, many people worked together to give the old house and its yard one last hurrah before demolition.
