In this five-minute short, rising alt-R&B star Kelela opens up about her obsession with the visceral and unspoken. “I’m interested in the things that we are all thinking, but that we don’t say,” says the singer of the clip, which sees her pouring her heart out over the phone (via some silky-smooth vocalisms), dancing freely in a blue-lit club, having a laugh with her mates, and travelling through the velvet-black night. “It’s my lifestyle to have difficult conversations,” she tells us. “It’s not fearlessness, it’s having fear and doing it anyway.”
