Months in the planning after they had been attending Astronomy school together, Shookie Basuroy chose one of the Universes most spectacular events to propose to the beautiful Rajdeep. Just a minute after the awe-inspiring moment of totality, Shookie conjured up his courage and took the plunge, down on one knee with a script he had been sweating over for days and even had playing on his iPod instead of music so he was word perfect!

And of course, as with all hot air balloon proposals the answer was yes!
Shookie knew that we were livestreaming out to a global audience for the Cairns Eclipse and agreed in advanced that we could film away and he could then invite their families to see the happy proposal.
