Q'ero women of the Andes Mts. are famous for their outstanding weavings of complexity and exquisite beauty. Every aspect reflects their sacred relationship with Pachamama (our mother earth). Heart Walk Foundation supports this cultural tradition through the sale of one-of-a-kind textiles at: tribalstore.org. Donate to preserve the Q'ero culture: donatenow.networkforgood.org/1439337

Be inspired by the native Q'ero people in the Andes of Peru and how they are creating a more sustainable future in partnership with Heart Walk Foundation. Known as the direct descendants of the Incas, the Q'ero people live in the most remote regions of the Andes Mountains of Peru, where little has changed for centuries. They suffer severe hardships. Potatoes and tubers are the only crops that can survive the cold harsh climate. For over ten years, Heart Walk Foundation has partnered with the Q'ero people to build schools, trout farms, and greenhouses. All projects are initiated by the villagers, with deep respect for culture and traditions.
