Quimera Rosa [Pink Chimera] is a lab that researchs and experiments on body, technology and identities. Our aim is to develop practices able to produce non-natural cyborg identities from a multidisciplinary perspective. We assume Donna Haraway’s notion of cyborg, that defines it as: “chimeras, theorized and fabricated hybrids of machine and organism.”

Aware by postfeminist and postitdentitary discourses, we make bodies a platform for public intervention, breaking up limits between public and private. We understand sexuality as a technological and artistical creation and seek to experiment hybrid, flexible and changing identities able to blur frontriers betweeen natural and artificial, normal and abnormal, woman and man.

We are specially interested in the articulations between art, science and technology, and their function in the production of subjetitivities.
Nuestra obra se basa desde el principio en la performance, volviéndose ésta cada vez más transdiciplinar. En nuestras performances, se puede apreciar una hibridación cuerpo/máquina/entorno, hibridación obtenida mediante la incorporación de dispositivos electrónicos conectados al cuerpo mediante técnicas BDSM y el uso de las propiedades electro­ químicas de ciertos elementos (agua, quinina, sal…). Para esto, nuestro trabajo incluye largos periodos de investigación/experimentación, en general durante residencias. Este último año
combinamos nuestra actividad de performers con una intensa actividad de dispensar talleres sobre nuestro [BodyNoise Amp].

For all these reasons, the most of our work is developed in a collaborative way under free culture paradigm.
