From 21 to 28 January 2012, the “ALORS ON LE FAIT” NGO (Saclay, France) has organized an international training course about the transmission of traditional European music, thanks to the EU program Grundtvig funding and the "Ethno" international network.

24 musicians from 11 European countries have met during 8 days. Each one has taught the others one tune or song of traditional/folk music of his/her country, his/her region with the aim of keeping alive the musical heritage of Europe. From "teachers" to "students" during this training course, the musicians have exchanged part of their tradition, their views and methods of transmission and arrangements to create a common ground for exchange.

2 concerts, in Evry Conservatoire and Villebon-sur-Yvette Youth Cultural Center, were the visible tip of the iceberg of 8 days of music and intercultural sharings.
