Committee Chair Kati Partanen (Finland) presented the “IFAP Young Farmers’ Declaration” to the plenary. She stressed the importance for young farmers of having access to tools to deal with the problem of price volatility and other risks. Kati Partanen also presented the seven pillars of Young Farmers’ Committee action plan which included: capacity-building, awareness raising, access to production facilities, promoting institutional cooperation for a new global organisation of agriculture, exchanges and partnerships, as well as lobby, advocacy and communications on young farmers’ issues.
