Are you being sentenced to life for a diagnoses of Kidney Failure ?? I'm Kimberly, I'm 39 years old, started dialysis on my 20th birthday, I was then facing a fear of the complete unknown, I felt so alone. Are you being sentenced to life for a diagnoses of Kidney Failure ?? I'm Kimberly, I'm 39 years old, started dialysis on my 20th birthday, I was then facing a fear of the complete unknown, I felt so alone. I wish that I started a journal way back then, people say that I should write a book about my very interesting life !! This will also serve as an outlet for me to express my feelings for my two beautiful sons know how much they mean to me, THEY are the ONLY reason that I continue to struggle day by day, for them.
We don't know when we will die, but I feel as though my nine lives have been all used up !! I feel that it's better to let others know how much they mean to me, because if I were to die tonight, I feel that tomorrow I'd be satisfied knowing that my boys have something to look back on whenever they felt like, and I won't be going anywhere !!
These crazy days, we can do whatever we want to on the internet, it is such a useful tool for feeling like we are never alone, there is ALWAYS others out there worst off then you. I try to stick to that motto for my own life, people tell me how strong I am, and I smile, but deep down I am experiencing so many deep, deep emotions, pent up.
I live in Ontario, Canada, I love hockey, especially Montreal !! NASCAR, go #48, I married my high school sweetheart after eight years together, four years of me being on dialysis, and one very tough transplant, two miracle children, but after 17 years together, everything took its toll, and we separated, leading to divorce. It still hurts like hell 4 years later, but we make it work. I love photography, I find that keeps my mind busy, some days the depression is so deep that I just can't get out of bed, or just don't care to !!
Anyways, I hope this helps anybody who is going through their own "personal hell" while it helps me get through my day, and continues to let my loving, supportive, caring, most amazing family in the world know that I could never get through this personal hell without them. I have two children because my hero, my dad gave me his kidney in 1998, got married, and was able to LIVE !! My parents are the reason I've been alive on this earth since they were told on the day that I was born, I had less then 2 days to live.
Feel free to share, I want to get to know all of you !!
