C'mon, let's show this camera off! You know how to use it, right? I didn't, so I'm introducing (and asking for) some tips.

Turn your VR lens off and flip to manual
Put it in manual mode (dial up the M - never use auto!)
Start recording (yes start first THEN adjust your exposure compensation which is turning the dial while holding the +/- button up there by the LED)
Now hold the AE-L button (if you have a lens with an aperature ring then it's a whole new ballgame but if you are like millions who have this lens then this is what you do for now)

Low Light "HACK"
Need a Nikkor lens with aperture ring.
Hold the camera up to direct light (any lamp bulb)
It should set your ISO way down, making everything dark.
Turn your aperature dial down then you can shoot in near darkness with little "noise"
Make sure to return the ring to f/22 otherwise the camera thinks there's an error

Feel free to correct me so this is more understandable and accurate if needed. Please let me know if you have or know of very good videos shot with the D90.
