  3. Elevator Pitch: Think Toy Story, but with writing stationery.
I wanted to do a portrait of something that seems boring and take that seemingly boring object and make it interesting and something that people could have a laugh at. It’s basically about someone who is writing at a desk, but they get up to leave and when the door shuts behind them, the stationery come to life and start dancing and making music. And when the writer comes back having heard the music, they pretend to be lifeless again – hence the Toy Story reference.

  4. I have played trumpet for about eight years and music has been an integral part of my life. I wanted to animate and visualize the music I have been playing for so many years from the very early stages of learning to where I am now. Music has taught me so much and playing the trumpet opened me up to so many new and rewarding experiences. I wanted to make a portrait of my trumpet because it has had such a meaningful impact on me and has provided me with so many joyful moments over the years.
